A company transfers a large, steady volume of data between its own datacenter and AWS every day. It needs consistent network performance and a connection that does not traverse the public internet.
Which service meets both requirements?
One choice only. Your earliest pick was dropped.
Where this question sits in the exam
Cloud Technology and Services is 34% of the scored content. Our mocks use the same mix.
Every option is explained, including the wrong ones — that's what the free tier is. Original items written against each exam's published guide, not real exam questions.
Scoring
AWS reports every exam on a scaled score from 100 to 1,000, but the pass mark changes with the exam. Cloud Practitioner passes at 700. Solutions Architect Associate passes at 720. Solutions Architect Professional passes at 750. A scaled score also isn't a percentage, so 720 doesn't mean you answered 72% correctly.
The second thing worth knowing is that AWS uses a compensatory model. You don't have to pass each domain — only the exam overall. A weak domain can be carried by a strong one, which changes how you should spend the last week before you sit.
Some questions on every AWS exam are unscored. They're being trialled for future use, they aren't marked, and you can't tell which they are. Unanswered questions count as wrong, so answer everything.
Accuracy by domain, weighted as the exam weights them
One domain well under the rest, and still a pass. AWS scores compensatorily: only the overall result decides it.
Switch exams and watch the line move. AWS pass marks differ by exam, and a scaled score isn't a percentage — 720 doesn't mean you answered 72% correctly.
We show each exam's own pass mark on its page, taken from that exam's guide.
