Claude · CCAO-F · Associate Foundations

The exam for people who use Claude, not the people who build it.

Associate Foundations is the credential for daily Claude work: prompting, checking what comes back, and knowing which surface the work belongs on. Every question is tagged to that outline.

  • Weighted to the Associate domain outline, so a mock matches the real mix
  • Multiple-response items enforced properly, which is where most marks go missing
  • Readiness shown against the pass mark, not as an invented percentage

Free Associate practice. No card required.

Registration for this exam runs through Anthropic's partner programme, so not everyone can book one. Check you're eligible before you spend time preparing.

A 10-question skill check

Medium

An Associate writes a client update every Friday. She wants the same four headings each week, and she wants a heading left blank when she has not supplied that figure.

What belongs in the request?

Name the four headings, and say to leave one blank when that figure was not supplied.
Paste last Friday's update and ask Claude to make it current.
Ask Claude to fill any gap so the update looks complete.
Switch to a more capable model and resend the same request.

The headings and the blank-when-missing rule are the constraints. Claude cannot know which figures are missing unless the request says so. Domain: Prompting and Task Execution.

What you get back

Not a prediction. A distance from the line.

Your estimate is a range, because it's an inference from the questions you've answered rather than a result you've earned. For a certification that matters more than it does for a scored test, because the outcome is binary: the only question is whether that whole range sits above the pass mark.

While the range straddles the line, you're a coin flip, and we'll tell you so rather than dress it up. When it clears the line, you'll see that too.

Borderline

Pass mark

Your range crosses the pass mark. On today's evidence it's a coin flip.

Three states

Try the three states. We won't show you a percentage chance of passing — nobody can calculate one honestly without years of real outcomes to calibrate against.
